Missoni AW11

Shocked at how much I loved this collection. I’d never really associate my style tastes with Missoni, but this show was seriously lovely. Modern & clean but the brand is still in there somewhere. I loved the soft pastels, the original, well-crafted knitwear and the long light layers of chiffon. It’s girlie-grunge; all a bit oversized – paired with the red lipstick & beanie combo…love. Faith has definitely been restored in the house of Missoni!

He who can do no wrong.

I know you’ve probably all style.com-ed Phillip Lim’s AW10-11 collection, but I feel the need to reiterate. He can literally do no wrong. He knows exactly what we want, and consistently delivers. Who can argue with that? I am particularly interested in the flares – SO into that right now. I’ve always been a lover, and the skinny silhouette saw people abandoning the curvy beauty of them for so long, so I’m mega excited that they’re back, and they’re totally chic. The two flare leg/stunning outerwear ensembles below are quite literally faultless…perfection! Love the 70’s feel, the patchy wool and leather, the tousled hair and that he’s taken an already ‘done’ trend – pastels- and taken it in a new direction. Also, how much would you KILL for those marigold flares??!!!!! Currently what I’m living for.
