Giambattista Valli Couture dress, familiar looking.

Definitely seen this dress before! Not going to sit here and lie to you, I love me a bit of bridal catwalk, and Oscar de le Renta is my first port of call for that kind of entertainment. Looks are imprinted in my mind, perhaps more than they should be for a ‘non-engaged’. Anyway, casually checking out the Couture runway pics this week and I find my fave Oscar look (I say fave, I mean top five because favourites are difficult in this arena) from way back in spring 08, walking down Giambattista Valli! The cape, the head band, the swooshy skirt, even the waist. It’s pretty much the bridal gown’s red twin.

My friend has just got engaged (go AmandaJane!), and with this in mind I thought it appropriate at this juncture to share two of the SS07 McQueen looks that are tattooed in the wedding dress area of my brain – which, even if they have no desire to get married, all women have .

Might have to think about a slip though.
